Matching the landing page to an audio offer

Check that a podcast landing page repeats the spoken offer accurately, explains conditions and gives visitors the promised next step.

Match the landing page to the benefit, conditions and next step the listener actually heard. The visitor should recognise the offer and understand whether they qualify before acting.

Compare the recorded promise with the page

Place the ad's central promise beside the proposed page headline. Check the benefit, eligible customers and products, any required code, end date and promised action. The page can give more detail than the recording, but it should not quietly narrow an unqualified spoken claim.

If a first-order offer is only for new customers, say so before checkout. If it covers only a product range, make that range identifiable before the main action. The advertiser's actual terms govern the page.

A simple comparison has three columns: heard in the ad, shown on the page and shown at the point of action. Read across each material condition. Resolve mismatches in the page or creative before launch.

Match the action to the decision

A discount may need a direct route to eligible products and a clear code-entry step. A considered purchase may need a comparison, an explanation or a short enquiry form. Name the action on the button. If it opens a form, say what the visitor is requesting; if it leads to checkout, show the relevant conditions before payment.

Keep supporting detail near the decision it helps. Visitors should not need to leave the journey to discover an important restriction.

Check the mobile offer journey

On a phone, check that the headline confirms the offer, the main action is easy to find and the key condition remains readable when text is enlarged or the keyboard appears. Give form controls descriptive labels and explain errors.

Follow the journey as an eligible visitor and, where relevant, as someone who does not qualify. Check where the code is entered, when the benefit appears, what the final amount or confirmation shows, and how an expired offer is explained.

Keep the recording and page in step

Record the approved creative, page version and offer dates together. When terms change, check which recordings may still be heard and update the destination accordingly. After expiry, explain that the offer has ended and give visitors a useful next step.
